I appreciate your honesty and self reflection of a good life (the chameleon life) that can be so much better and free-er when you stop worrying about fitting the space and just taking up all the space you need. At least that’s how I read it.
It feels like I can fit in anywhere, but how much do I waste of time and energy and ME trying to merely fit. I want to be more present and less concerned about fitting. I think it brings freedom into any space. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement!!
Wow Daniel, I can relate with you on so many levels in this article. A couple of months I pulled away from social media because I thought it was too consuming of my time, and I wanted to connect with people in deeper and more authentic ways. So I started back up my blog and have been sharing it but not getting much of a response,... except with my mom and wife. Which has definitely been good on some levels but discouraging in other ways, because I was hoping it would encourage more connection my brothers in the faith. Anyhow, there definitely is value in being your authentic self, and hopefully it'll just be a matter of time before I connect with those who are wanting the same.
Thankful to have my connection with you! Even if it's not very personal yet.
No pressure at all, but here is my latest blog post.
If you have time to check it out you might find it to be inspiring for your own creative pursuits.
P.S. I have been one of those who has challenged your interpretations and premises in the past. 😁I am not in the least offended that you didn't respond. Not every comment is needful of a response. I think we just all want to know that we are heard. 🤪
Daniel thank you for this!! I love love love it. And thanks Anni for restacking ☺️
Anni is the best!

Thank you so much, Leah! I want to do more than “merely fit” too. That’s an awesome way to put it.

I agree that the McDonald’s playground is the most zen.
I LOVE that that’s your takeaway. We’re going to have so much fun Thursday.
I can literally hardly wait.
