Hi Daniel, I would like to sit and watch you do a word study on this particular topic. I have believed as Paul stated that "Christ was the first to be raised from the dead". Wouldn't this involve not only the physical body, others had been resurrected prior to Jesus death, but also and more importantly His spiritual death also? I see this not as a penalty but as a necessity for our forgiveness.

I see Jesus experiencing a “spiritual resurrection” myself. I’d be happy to do a study on it.

I know you do, I did not follow your thought process all the way through on this and would like to.

I was watching Larry Siegle around 25:00 -37:00 0n the Son of man podcast "The Rising Again Of The Dead (1 Corinthians 15) | Pastor Larry Siegle". I realize now asking you to do a word study on that would be like writing a book. Words I have read before now are coming into a clearer view, The death, The Sin, The resurrection even for the apostles not being able to happen before the opening of the temple in Christ, even though they ruled and reigned with Christ. Thanks for bringing this subject up, I would still really enjoy watching you do your Logos bible study on this, just to make sure I am on the right track. Thanks for all do, hope you enjoyed your vacation.

Romans 13:1 this has given me something to be thankful and peaceful for in all the turmoil!

Good to hear from you again. Your request was a little daunting, but I assure you that it has been on my heart since you sent it. I have been thinking about how best to approach the subject, and I believe I've decided an overview of Romans with a focus on Romans 6 would be the best course of action.

I'd also need to do a little work on penal substitution and its implications.

Thanks for asking the tough questions,

Daniel
