The Resurrection of Jesus (March 28 - April 3, 2021)
The Resurrection of Jesus
“Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us” (Romans 8:33–34). Many people were crucified in the first century, but none were raised like Jesus. Jesus’ death and resurrection work together to bring about justification: “He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification” (Romans 4:25). It is through the resurrection that Jesus was declared to be the Son of God (Romans 1:4). Through Jesus’ resurrection, He became the Resurrection for all of us (John 11:25-26). If we abide in Him, we abide in life. This Sunday, as we do every day of our lives, let’s allow the life-giving power of Jesus’ resurrection to enrich everything we do.
