Sermon Preview: Worship

Every week, Christians say, “Let’s go to worship!” or “I love to worship God.” What does this mean? Is worship limited to five acts that are only considered worship on Sunday? Do we worship when we sing and pray on Wednesdays or at home? Is there something called a “worship service?” Can you only worship if there are two or more people gathered? What is vain worship? What is authorized in worship? Does it even matter? While all these questions will not be answered this week, I hope to give you the tools that you need to begin to answer some of these questions. Churches have split, families destroyed, and friendships lost depending on how these questions were answered, so it is not a matter to take lightly.
