Losing Patience is Losing Love
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant
1 Corinthians 13:4
If I lose my patience, I lose my love.
If I lose my kindness, I lose my love.
If I get jealous, I lose my love.
If I brag, I lose my love.
If I'm arrogant, I lose my love.
I've had to tell myself this a lot here recently, especially when dealing with negative comments.
It can be so easy to respond in an eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a-tooth way, but that is not the way to which Jesus calls us.
He tells us to love our neighbors as well as our enemies.
He tells us to bless those that curse us and pray for those that persecute us.
I never ask you to agree with me or to see things my way.
All I simply want to do through my ministry is contribute something to a ongoing conversation about God.
If you disagree with me, but it enriches your life in some way, then I've done my job.
I believe that everyone has some truth to offer, and I thank you for allowing me to have a space to voice mine.
